During this three day workshop executives and managers develop interpersonal competencies and communication skills, to enable them to better lead and manage individuals and teams who report to them. Executives are often faced with challenges in areas outside of their functional/technical skills. In the current stressful and ambiguous economic situation, they have to creatively energise and focus their team. In this workshop the participants are faced with similar challenges, and practice techniques to deal with them effectively.
The methodology of the workshop is based on role play, discussion and discovery in a supportive atmosphere. The workshop is a challenging experience. It is interactive, and requires a high degree of involvement by the participants, including a willingness to examine their own motives and reactions. In this workshop the participants engage in core executive activities. These include motivating, coaching, problem solving, decision making, conflict management, developing trust and building relationships. They have to make decisions in difficult business situations where they have multiple objectives, insufficient information, and the circumstances change outside of their control. They have a opportunity to further develop their critical skills needed to deal with these situations. The workshop requires that they think strategically and find ways to communicate the different messages that stakeholders need. The framework of the workshop encourages participants to extract knowledge from each experience, so that they are able to use it in daily work.
After participating in this workshop executives and managers find they can deal more effectively with a wider range of situations and people. Their credibility and standing is enhanced in the eyes of colleagues, clients, suppliers and other company stakeholders. They become more able to achieve business objectives, including motivating employees, improving customer loyalty, and team building within the organization. They strengthen their capacity for management and leadership and use their functional skills to greater effect for the benefit of the organization. At the end of this workshop participants find greater enthusiasm for their work, and are more valuable to the organization.
This workshop is run in English. The innovatory nature of the workshop allows those whose English language skills need improvement to benefit both linguistically and professionally.
Participants receive a certificate.
